In this day-long seminar Dr. Ingham reviewed the soil food web and the role that each organism plays in healthy soil.
The participants were arborists and landscapers who gained knowledge of the important role bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi play
in soil chemistry and learned how compost and compost teas can be used to improve our soils and the health of the plants that grow in them.
Dr. Ingham is a soil biology researcher, founder of Soil Food Web, Inc., and the author of the USDA’s Soil Biology Primer. She is recognized as a world leader in soil microbiology.
Elaine Ingham is an American soil biology researcher and founder of Soil Foodweb Inc. She is recognized around the world as a leader in soil microbiology and research of the soil food web. She is a key author of the USDA’sSoil Biology Primer. In 2011, Ingham was named as The Rodale Institute‘s chief scientist.
