One of the biggest problems facing lawn care companies is weed control.  It is even more daunting when trying to do so in an environmentally friendly way. We all know that the first line of defense against weeds it to develop a thick healthy lawn which will crowd out most weeds. However, weeds will still appear and customers will complain. Until now, the only effective means of selectively controlling weeds has been chemical herbicides.

The study referred to in this article states that when using essential oils to control weeds better results were achieved when light intensity is low. This is in contrast to a popular opinion that best results are seen when applied on sunny days. I highly recommend testing these products yourself to see what conditions works best for you.
