COOL SEASON AND TRANSITION ZONES
Evolution Grass Seed is thoughtfully designed specifically to be used in conjunction with a Branch Creek Regenerative Turf System. This does NOT require a starter fertilizer! Evolution is blended with Paleo Seed Treatment to provide germination in 10 days or less without using high phosphorus starter fertilizers. Evolution can be used in areas of sun as well as shade.
Evolution incorporates a variety of seed varieties and species designed to work in unison to protect against insects as well as crowd out weeds in the soil and on the surface. Evolution meets the standard set by the Alliance for Low Input Sustainable Turf (A-List) as requiring less chemical pesticides, fertilizers and water.
Check the seed tag. Other grass seeds on the market will contain more than 1/2% weed or other crop seed. This may not sound like a high percentage, but because weed seeds are smaller than grass seeds it will result in a lawn full of weeds. Evolution contains no to minimal levels of weed or other crop seed.
Evolution is not recommended in warm season geographies such as Arizona and Florida. Evolution is Blue Tag Certified as well as Non-GMO.
A-List (Alliance for Low Input Sustainable Turf) is a non-profit university and industry cooperative that serves to test, identify and promote varieties to consumers that maintain acceptable turf quality while requiring reduced water, chemical and fertility inputs.
When to Apply:
Apply when daytime temperatures are consistently between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not use within three months of a synthetic pre-emergent being applied such. Evolution is recommended to be used in conjunction with Weed Prevention and Lawn Food.
